Life unrehearsed

A new look and feel that’s totally unrehearsed.

When we inherited the brand, JBL’s social was focused on staged lifestyle and product photography. It wasn’t living up to its brand proposition of “sound that amplifies life.”

The most memorable moments are the ones you never see coming – which meant our photography had to feel unrehearsed. We built a new library of images that are spontaneous and authentic – inspired by editorial, doc, and street-style photography. We looked for genuine emotion, and utilized strong highlights from directional on-camera flash to give each image the feeling of being shot by a friend on a disposable camera.
